Principles

Principles that guide a Republican:

  • That a government is limited to operate within its constitutional authority.
  • That government must be limited, defined as limited in scope, authority and expense.
  • That the traditional family unit and the sanctity of life are the building blocks of our nation.
  • That religious freedom is a pillar of American society.
  • That our security is of major importance so that we may live in peace, liberty and without fear.
  • That it is the duty of all levels of government to protect citizens from foreign and domestic harm.
  • That our children and communities grow in creative strength through a quality education.
  • That our elected public servants should be supported, but also held accountable to defend these principles during public policy decisions.

As you review the above principles, they should bring you to an understanding of a belief system that will allow yourself to be called a Republican. Believing these simple truths, (below) allowing the principles to guide you, come join us, in what we believe, and as we attempt to step out boldly.

  • I believe – free enterprise and personal initiative have brought this nation opportunity, economic growth and prosperity.
  • I believe – our nation needs to protect the dignity of every individual and guarantee the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
  • I believe – in a limited government that practices fiscal responsibility and works to lower taxes so individuals can keep more of their hard earned money.
  • I believe – in a strong national defense to ensure that Americans remain safe, terrorists are defeated, and democracy flourishes throughout the world.
  • I believe – the Republican Party is the best vehicle for converting these ideals into positive and successful principles of government.
